GCETTB DEBATE CLUB has been the most premier and prestigious DEBATE club of the district of Murshidabad. It was formed on 15th of august 2009, inaugurated by our then Officer –in –Charge Dr. S Bandyopadhyay.
The GCETTB DEBATE CLUB has been one of the most active and creative COMMUNITY of our college, which provides a platform for the so-called Geeks, nerds and students having sincere interests in debate, elocution ,recitation and related stuffs to show up to their potential.
The Club has successfully conducted many competitions including Debates, recitation elocutions etc.
Respected Professors Chandan Sinha Roy Sir, Pradip Dutta sir, and Dr. DebasisDhara continuously inspired students associated with this club and also tries to increase the number of members of this club by interacting with non-associated students.
The club continues to run successfully and gradually reaching heights in terms of memberships and activeness and is hoping to continue the good work in future.
AIMS and OBJECTIVES
GCETTB DEBATE CLUB is a completely different organization, patronized by the faculties, and run by the students from all the years, completely based on the merit, and interests’ of the GCETTBians.
Providing exposure and scopes through the “GCETTB DEBATE COMPETITION” during college fests and in other occasions.
Forming a DEBATORS’ community within the college campus, providing the students at their final year the necessary practice for their GDs’ providing an ambience for interactive learning process within the DEBATE community.
Through competitions like Debate and recitation the Club concentrates on enhancing the Spoken English capability of each students.
It aims to provide a significant training ground for the development of student’s communicative abilities along with providing opportunities for students to practice and share their skill development.
To create learning situations in which students develop proficiencies based on sound educational and communication theories. To provide judges who will make judgements based on educational objectives and offer a critique which will help students achieve them.
